Roberto Chiachiri

Roberto Chiachiri is professor and researcher at the Methodist University of São Paulo (UMESP), where he is leader of the Semio Humanitas research group. He holds a postdoctoral degree at the University of Paris 1 – Sorbonne, has a Master’s and Doctorate in Communication and Semiotics at PUCSP, a Certificat Pratique de langue Française – Université de Nancy II – France and is Director, in Brazil, of the UNESCO / UMESP Chair of Communication for Development regional.

Dr. Chiachiri is member of: International Association of Semiotics (Brazil delegate), Latin American Federation of Semiotics, Brazilian Association of Semiotics, French Association of Semiotics and International Association of Visual Semiotics. He is Representative in Brazil of the scientific journal Hermès la Revue of CNRS-France and a Visiting Professor at the European University – Lisbon – and at the Sorbonne Paris 1.
